my system is a Slackware 8.0 with a self compiled qt-2.3.1 ( compiled with objprelink for KDE 2.2.1, copiler is the standard from slack 8.0, gcc 2.95.3). I use at the moment the CVS version of 05.11.2001 (and it works great with the exeption of the codec changing problem in avicap mentioned also on the avifile site, however some previous versions didn't have it ). I tried recently the CVS versions of 16.11.2001 and 18.11.2001 ( compiled with the --enable-release and --enable-quiet options ), both had the same problem. As I tried to play some divx :-) 3.11 encoded videos with aviplay, I always got the error message " No audio stream found " or something similar, and the sound was not played accordingly. The same happens with mp3 or pcm sound streams. I only could test it with the mentioned codec ( the video files can be played correctly with the older aviplay versions) . Is it a known problem or am I the only one having it. Thank you for the help in advance!
