You guys will probably get this a lot, but since it did not happen with an older version, here goes the question... I get this just right after i type make:
make[4]: Entering directory `/home/espectro/avifile-0.6.0-20011116/libmmxnow/src/generic/video' source='create.c' object='create.lo' libtool=yes \ depfile='.deps/create.Plo' tmpdepfile='.deps/create.TPlo' \ depmode=gcc3 /bin/sh ../../../../depcomp \ /bin/sh ../../../libtool --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../../include -I../.. -c -o create.lo `test -f create.c || echo './'`create.c ../../../../depcomp: ../../../../depcomp: No such file or directory make[4]: *** [create.lo] Error 127 That file missing should be in /home/espectro/avifile-0.6.0-20011116/ Doing a "locate" on that file, i found it in another source, in a program called licq. I will be a man and copy it... Surprinsily, it works! Avifile is compiling! Now, why did i have to do this? That file should come with avifile! I ran autogen.sh, then configure... As usual... I dont know what to do while it is compiling... lol... (whistles) Nothing good on tv... hmm... Let's check mail... 50 new mails... darn it.. Ok i am back, now i found another error... /usr//bin/ld: cannot find -lasound What the heck is asound? I am on kde Is it alsa? I dont use alsa, and i dont think you guys require it... Ok this mail was originaly about the depcomp file but it does not compile without asound and i dont see anything in configure to disable it, my configure reports oss audio enabled as it should... Please answer this mail (i dont know if this is a list) so i can read your answer. Thanks in advance -- Francisco J.
