No idea, sorry ! :-) I do not have the knowledge for that. However any Xawtv, Kwintv, zapping are working ok ! I mv the directory to another place and relinked to /dev/video0. DVR is working fine as well !! As far as I understand it is based on Avifile librairies. I have been able to capture avi from a VHS without any frames lost in the process, playing it back on a old windows 95 P133.... I think the error has nothing to do with avifile. As Justin reported the right click may cause some trouble depending on the Qt version. I am running RH 7.1 and SDL1.17 (cause of troubles ????). Let me describe a little further : avifile -- > segmentation fault (core dumped) avifile myfile.avi --> get the gui interface for a second and then segmentation fault. Idem for any other aviexec.... > Could you send also gdb backtrace ? > > (gdb /you/path/avicap core (or core.pid) - depends on kernel you are > using) Will do that on your email not on the mailinglist.
