Hi
I'm using mandrake-cooker and there is gcc-3.1.1 and can compile and using
avifile without problems. Only one problem is when compile ffmpeg. There
is possibly bug in gcc includes. Gcc fails with this message:
mpegvideo_mmx_template.c:87: can't find a register in class `GENERAL_REGS'
while reloading `asm'
You have to compile this file by hand (cut and paste gcc command and
remove -fPIC).
MOJE
P.S. You'll probably no get more speed. Because speed depends on codecs
:-(
