[Avifile]is this a bug?

i have been compiling and installing all the avifile updates until from version avifile-0.7.17 upwards.

it compiles and install quite alright but i can't use aviplay because it says "segmentation fault" problem i do not encounter with version "avifile-0.7.16"


my os is suse linux version 8.0
