As I do not have RedHat and none send me patch for this it's most probably
unsable - try to use precompiled RPM packages (links are present in 
download section)

Or just compile the package natively (just start from the top of INSTALL :))

- but avifile comes with it's own copy of ffmpeg (as it's API seems
to be changing way too much :) so there is no chance to stay compatible
for more then few days and update usually require modification
on avifile side)
