Hi List, OK, so I'm probably stupid.
With aviplay from avifile0.7-0.7.29, the video from an .avi file freezes with the following error message: <ffmjpeg> : doesn't support DR1 The sound continues, but the video sticks in one frame. The FAQ says nothing about this. The "news" page states the following: "Also I've finaly enabled ffmpeg DR1 method rendering so also users could use it. (There were some problems which had to be resolved first so there will be no major problems. And as always user could enable/disable this at runtime)." Great! So how do I enable DR1 at runtime? The man-page states nothing on this, as far as I can see. However, it says about option -vc: "-vc --video-codec <codecname> Prefered codec to be used for movie video decoding. Use with "help" to see available video codecs." But "aviplay --video-codec help" does not work. Neither do: "aviplay --help --codecs_video" or "aviplay -h --codecs_video" They only give the main help menu. So what are the secrets of this program, anyway? Do I have to read the source to find out? Please CC me if answering to the list. I'd rather not subscribe to it. Thx in advance.
