Yesterday, I gave a workshop to some researchers in Aberdeen, MD. To support the workshop, someone whipped up an Ubuntu LiveDVD with Avogadro -- this worked pretty well, particularly for packages like Open Babel, Qt, and Eigen which were easy to install using the "Ubuntu Customization Kit" (UCK) which allows modifying the default ISOs.
Right now, we have no one maintaining the Ubuntu packages, which linger at 1.0.0. Any Ubuntu users want to step up? Even having someone build packages which may not be officially blessed by Ubuntu would be great. -Geoff --- Prof. Geoffrey Hutchison Department of Chemistry University of Pittsburgh tel: (412) 648-0492 email: [email protected] web: http://hutchison.chem.pitt.edu/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WhatsUp Gold - Download Free Network Management Software The most intuitive, comprehensive, and cost-effective network management toolset available today.
