Just for the record, I built it the other day on Debian stable and didn't see any obvious big issues. The german translation is still sub-optimal and sometimes buggy (resulting in multiple Extension menus etc.), but the english version looks fine. Debian is freezing in a couple of weeks, when is the final release to be expected?
