I've been looking around at web forums, since I see a lot of current undergrads
and grad students (i.e., users) don't use e-mail much (much less mailing lists).

There are multiple packages and I'm open to suggestions. One that seems to pop
up a lot recently is Discourse (http://www.discourse.org) which looks pretty
slick. The feature set is nice, plus multi-language support
(http://v1.discourse.org/about/)

The one caveat is that I don't have anywhere to host it (i.e., it uses
Postgres, .. Docker). They recommend Digital Ocean, for an extra $10/month..

I know Ubuntu uses Discourse. Any feedback? Advantages or disadvantages?

Thanks,
-Geoff

P.S. One thing that I notice about Discourse is it offers "badges" much like
Stack Exchange, which I think would be a nice way to "reward" people answering
Avogadro questions.
