Thanks for sharing the links, there is some really cool new work going into
VTK that I am eager to sit down and integrate. One of my big funded
projects is effectively aimed squarely at volume rendering, and we have
even got some prototype WebGL export stuff working there. It is very fresh,
but I will see if I can add some of that (the code is all BSD licensed too).
