Yes, definitely. Why? I have no other information and know nothing about the avr-gcc specific issues in gcc. One can't know everything, and there was no short section about "gcc versions, avr target and avr-libc" on either project's site that I saw. (That's just an observation, not a criticism - you guys are doing a brilliant job!) Sounds like time would be better spent on compiling 4.6.2 and testing that first. I'll put it on my todo list, but I'm only able to package it for opensuse and whatever else it compiles on their build system.
