Hmmm... The odd thing is that this works when done in the Flash, but
not in Flex.
I apply a listener to the movie property like this:

away3DdAnimation.movie.addEventListener(SimpleEvent.MATERIAL_PATH,saveMaterial);

This event is cast in frame 2 of the material and bubbles back to
where it's needed, so I can stop the material whenever I want. I also
use this custom event class to trigger camera movement at certain
places.

Has me bummed that it won't work in a Flex AS3 project though. Must be
some mistake on my part I guess? Anybody else have experience with
Events and MovieMaterial?
