I have a similar issue and use the hoverCamera, but I am unsure of the true cause. I thought it may be the way I use copypixel to create the materials for multiple planes, or the tweening, but even if I turn off the tween and put an empty bitmap as a material, the fps is still extremely low.
I uploaded the code to hovercam_imagesplit.zip, any chance you can take a look Rob and let me know if its a camera issue or something else? Thanks.
