Yes, I looked at the link but I don't see any display of FPS so I
don't know if it is rendering faster or not. Your link is in a much
smaller window which will render faster anyway. The link I provided
runs the demo in the full browser area. Away3D and the like always
run much faster in smaller window areas. Also, the rotation in your
link is simply moving greater distances (via mouse position) than the
other link giving the illusion.

Drawing a 3D triangle via software or direct3D or directdraw... IS a
3D capability.

Flash 9 did not have this natively but Flash 10 does. Drawing a 3D
triangle IS the base of 3D and Flash 10 comes with this. Either way
Flash 10 renders 3D triangles and ultimately 3D objects far faster
than it did before.

If you are saying that Flash 10 does not have Direct3D or OpenGL
capability then yes you are probably correct. I'm excited that the
Flash team is at least taking the first step and using DirectDraw. I'm
sure Direct3D or OpenGL will come in time.

The Away3D team has already started a branch to take advantages of the
improvements of Flash 10. It is tagged in SVN as version 3.0.

The above link I provided is old and I stumbled on it while doing
other searches and just wanted to share it.
