The latest version of the Bunko documentation has been posted to the
Files section.  In it you will find an invitation to visit this URL:

 http://ssshq.homedns.org:8886/BunkoBox/AwayExample.html

to see the letter P extracted from the Times Italic font.  Use the
arrow keys to control Away's camera and your mouse wheel to control
zoom.

It may demonstrate some of the capabilities I think you are seeking.
I repeat, Bunko is a free tool for use by Away and Sandy developer's
wanting to display 3D Glyphs.
