Hi,

I can not seem to find your thread on the discussion board however,

I believe what you are trying to do if I am reading it right is for example create a sphere that is black and white?

You would do something like this

material:"white#black"

when writing your material the values in quote are
white is the face
black is the wireframe

play with those settings and let me know how it works out for you.

Subject: [away3d] light : looking for a unique color depending on the brightness attr of a PointLight3D

Hi,
I use in my scene as light a unique PointLight3D.

As object, I have in my scence, Plane and Cube with
ShadingColorMaterial(0xFFFFFF).

I'd like to get a uniform color (between black and white) on my
object. How can I do ?

I can get for the moment on my object only triangle with differents
value of grey. I'd like to keep my segments low.

I put here for information my light settings and a setting for on of
my plane:

var light:PointLight3D = new PointLight3D({color:0xFFFFFF, brightness:
22});
var whiteMaterial:ShadingColorMaterial = new ShadingColorMaterial
(0xFFFFFF);
var floor:Plane = new Plane({material:whiteMaterial, width:roomWidth,
height:400, segmentsW:5, segmentsH:10});
