The Version 2.2 User's Guide -- in the Files section -- explains the extended I18N support, but just come on over to http://ssshq.homedns.org:8886/BunkoBox and see your rendering engine dealing with a little Katakana in a mesh of standard Away LineSegments.
You can also see Papervision with Hiragana and Sandy doing Swedish for comparisons. The API is identical, so if you pull down the source code, you won't be surprised to see that the application code is almost the same for all three platforms. The price is the same, too -- free for all the development communities.
