Blender, as well as 3dsMax, Maya, and many other common 3d modeling tools
can accomplish the scenes you referenced in your other post, but as
mentioned, those scenes are quite professionally mastered, I could not hope
to accomplish that myself without many years of training in the 3d rendering
tools (but then again, I'm a programmer, not an artist, so I won't speak to
your situation).

Blender makes importing to away3D easy, you should probably focus on
exporting the Collada format from Blender, follow the tutorial I mentioned
previously and you'll have a Collada format model imported and working in
Away3D in no time at all. The tutorial walks you through the entire process
and provides you a good solid code base to work from. All you need to do in
Blender is File->Export->Collada 1.4.
