Thanks for the hint! Turning smoothing on removed the pixeled look on stars but it still looks somewhat blurry after that. I've found that creating a custom Skybox6 class with a smaller box (w,h,d of 12000 instead of the default 800000) and a larger texture image helped ... http://files.hexagonstar.com/?view=./test/StarSystem.swf still not perfect but getting closer.
Btw: is there a way to make the HoverCamera rotate beyond the (imaginary) floor plane? By default you cannot rotate it to look at the underside of objects, This would be quite helpful or desired in some scenes though.
