Hi, Just made an example of billboard behaviour in Away3DLite (i.e. plane always points into camera) http://www.videometry.net/away3d/Basic_Billboard.html Use arrow keys to move/rotate camera
source http://www.videometry.net/away3d/Basic_Billboard.fla I noticed a couple of things. First if you make a plane look at the camera, by default it is upside down. Not sure if that's a bug, or something to do with Flash y-negative, or whatever. To fix this I just turned the texture upside down, easy, but not ideal. This is going to sound like a total noob question, but how do you move the camera?! I've tried, with various cameras to manipulate z, and the position is read only. Is there a bug in Lite, or am I going about it the wrong way? (see source above, line is commented) For this example I resorted to manipulating the distance property, which is why the camera "flip" when it crosses 0,0,0 Cheers! PS
