check the mtl file, make sure the urls are relative to the mtl file
the way obj works is
resolvedurl[filename.obj]
resolvedurl[mtl url defined in obj]
resolvedurl[urls stored in mtl per materials]
make also sure the mtl url located at line 2 of obj coorespond to mtl
file url
