Hello, guys, In blender, I made a very simple 3d model (2 faces, connected, perpendicular to each other), each face has its own texture(from a image file), it rendered correctly in blender.
I exported the model to obj format(a obj file and a mtl file). I loaded the obj file in away3d, when rendered, the 2 faces have the same texture( while in blender, there are 2 textures). I checked the obj and mtl files, I don't see anything wrong there(i only have very basic knowledge of obj file format). Could it be possible that away3d parsed the obj file wrong? here's the test_Scene.obj file: ############ start of test_Scene.obj################### # Blender3D v249 OBJ File: test.blend # www.blender3d.org mtllib test_Scene.mtl v 5.000000 -0.000000 -2.499999 v 5.000000 0.000000 2.500000 v -5.000000 0.000000 2.499999 v -4.999998 -0.000000 -2.500000 v -5.000000 6.000000 2.499999 v -4.999998 6.000000 -2.500001 vn 1.000000 0.000000 0.000000 vn 0.000000 1.000000 -0.000000 usemtl mattile s off f 3//1 4//1 6//1 f 3//1 6//1 5//1 usemtl matbrick f 1//2 4//2 3//2 f 1//2 3//2 2//2 ############ end of test_Scene.obj ################### and here's the test_Scene.mtl file: ############ start of test_Scene.mtl ################### # Blender3D MTL File: test.blend # Material Count: 2 newmtl mattile Ns 96.078431 Ka 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 Kd 0.640000 0.640000 0.640000 Ks 0.500000 0.500000 0.500000 Ni 1.000000 d 1.000000 illum 2 map_Kd Tile_Various_Tan_1.jpg newmtl matbrick Ns 96.078431 Ka 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 Kd 0.640000 0.640000 0.640000 Ks 0.500000 0.500000 0.500000 Ni 1.000000 d 1.000000 illum 2 map_Kd Brick_Rough_Tan_1.jpg ############ end of test_Scene.mtl ################### all the files can be downloaded in a zip file here http://hxw4rw.blu.livefilestore.com/y1pCZCeSRIYV6K-7qHPRfKg32oKaPlNMKTeiDWV9RM_MJm6Hqqe0CljeI8BkzqFq6oR30TzfoVRkLtp2F4ykHGgHAOpB3VBtp27/blender.7z?download guys, please shed some light on this, thanks a lot. mudong
