Sounds interesting, a little hacky because I would have to find the
proper faces and link them accordingly.  But it can still work.  I
just tried it out and it seems like there is an issue with the models
being scaled and then attaching faces.  Basically, the faces are
attached at the "pre-scale" locations.

The fix: Add everything to a container, do the facelink, scale the
container.

I have a feeling that this is very error prone.  Is there another
option?  What about a collada scene?  In that case, I could hide the
meshes that I don't want.  Is it easy to get an animated collada into
away3d?

Or is the facelink approach better?
