I am trying to make a scene in AR using FLARManager and Away3D for a
final project at school. I am fairly new to coding so I apologize if
my terminology is a bit off.

I have attached a movieclip to a plane as MovieMaterial. I have added
and event listener so that when the user clicks on the plane the
movieclip plays. This functionality is working fine but I have another
problem.

My movieclip has a centre registration because it is constantly
changing shape. Yet when I bring it into Away3D and place it on a
plane as a MovieMaterial I can only see the bottom right quarter of
the movie clip (I'm assuming that's because it is placing it at 0,0 of
the plane). Yet if I change the registration point to 0,0 for the
movieclip AS WELL as each frame in my movieclip (based on the largest
frame so they are all still aligned when it plays) I still can’t see
the whole movieclip – it seems to be ‘cut off’ and I now only see the
top left quarter of the movieclip.

I thought the plane would default to the size of the movieclip but
this does not seem to be what is happening. Has anyone had similar
problems?

Any help or suggestions is grealty appreciated.
