Right now the only way around this I've found is to make another layer
in my movieclip with a shape outline with the max width and height of
the biggest frame of the movieclip, and set it's alpha to 1%. This way
now my whole movie clip shows on the plane (because it is the size of
the shape outline) BUT there is a larger area that the user can
'click' on than just my original movieclip. It's a workaround method
for now that will have to do.

I would still like to hear if anyone has a proper method to attach a
MovieMaterial with varying sizes per frame. I am wondering if I can't
centre my registration points and have it update everyframe, changing
the plane size to match? Has anyone tried this?
