OK I admit defeat. I thought I knew what I was doing but seem to have got lost in a mess of matrix multiplications.
What I need to do is take an object3D in an Away3DLite scene and place it within a container3D that has been rotated within that scene. I need the object to keep it's scene position when added to the container but obviously it needs to transform to do so. Hope this makes sense.
