Hey this book is great!

I got it from Apress as a ebook early last week.

I have found it difficult in the past to learn about 3d in Flash. This
book has many small, neat, and well coded examples. Im on chapter 4
and i have a long way to go. I feel that by the end of the book ill be
very much upto date and be able to explore new experiments on my own.

There is one issue im having however, not sure if most of you guys are
waiting for the paper version so i thought id mention it?

Chapter 4 - LoadingExternalModels:

When i try to load monkey.3ds and place it in a LoaderCube, i get a
stream error. This happens both locally and remotely and is almost
certainly my own fault. However what im curious about is that the
stream error is caused by "ape_normals". That is, if i load from
domain.com/monkey.3ds, my AS3 looks for this domain.com/ape_normals

Im not sure if the API has been tweaked since the book was finalised,
or if the monkey.3ds file is wrong in some way, or if there is a
missing file from the project files on friends of ed?

All the best.

Clark.
