Hey all.  I am used to 3d engines where you can achieve good render
optimizations by converting all textures to power of 2 .dds format
with mip / mapping.

any optimal texture strategies here?  is png or jpg have an advantage?
Is the file size of the texture really all that matters? Thanks for
