I will echo the comments Fabrice. Thanks for being on the listserv.

I will disagree with the comment "Professional flash game makers get paid 
$$$ for all-in-one swfs only." No customer wants to re-download the entire 
game SWF to get a game update for a new texture or a new model. Zynga's 
games (for instance) definitely are not built as an all-in-one SWF.

Embedding is certainly an important option for some applications. I don't 
disagree with that.

Slight detour:

I am new to the web/flash space (I've come from Console/PC games). It's a 
new world for me, with many restrictions I am not used to. Learning every 
day.

Resource Management/Caching in this arena is a big area of continued 
understanding for me - Flash being beholden to the browser's whim and 
management of the cache is scary, and makes us game makers crazy. We can't 
control the experience as much as we'd like to. Request a resource and hope 
that it comes up as soon as possible. Preloaders and other tech are learned 
responses to the limitations of browser caching and attempt to control the 
experience.  But the experience still isn't perfect.
