Jam ,after your model has been imported there is no difference anymore if it was obj ,md2 or dae(collada) of course if it is not animated .You can apply a material to your obj the same way you do to the rest of the formats. So for instance after you finished loading your model you can access its material like this:
_yourObjModel.materialLibrary.getMaterial(*"yourMaterialName"* ).material=yourAway3DMaterial Where: _yourObjModel- is the loaded model. *"yourMaterialName"- the name of the material you gave inside your modelling program (3dsMax,maya etc) *yourAway3DMaterial-the material you created inside Away3D On Thu, May 12, 2011 at 1:12 PM, Jam <[email protected]> wrote: > > I have looked all the example also I bout the away3D book but I > couldn’t find the good example for this requirement, that’s why I’m > asking for the help in this group most of the example are written for > different type of model like collada or md2. > > I’m looking for any example which contains .obj > > Thanks for your comment > -- Michael Ivanov ,Programmer Neurotech Solutions Ltd.
