Seems strange the incubator I was running was working on 10.5 but the release notes at the site look to be saying 10.6... lets just say I won't be upgrading my player in a hurry, if there are anyone here able to talk to adobe and find a bit more about it would be much appreciated, I have gcc 4.6 if they send me the source I can try to compile my own ! But hopefully what I have will do for the moment.

Cheers ;j

This is really a question for Adobe. We are not controlling the
player, so we can't help you in this matter. However, I would assume
that older versions of OSX will be supported once the player is final.

Hi All,

I just booted up my MacBook to do some testing of my Away3D 4 app on an older machine. Upon installing the latest incubator build of Flash Player
11, I got this message (see attached).

"Cannot be installed ... Mac OSX 10.6 or higher is required"

I was shocked. So Adobe don't plan on letting older OSX users upgrade their Flash Player past version 10? And then, by extension, Away3D 4 will not
support Mac users on OSX 10.5, which is still a relatively new OS?

I could understand if OSX 10.3 or 10.4 wasn't supported, but I reckon there would still be millions of people running OSX10.5 who won't be able to run
Away3D 4 apps!

Can someone please tell me I'm an idiot, and that this error will go away once Flash Player is out of incubator status? My team and I have invested a lot of time in a big Away3D 4 app and I really don't want to break the news to my manager that there's a significant market segment who won't be able to
use our application :(

BTW, I would agree that this query is probably more suited for the Adobe
forums, but the Adobe community aren't as communicative and smart as
everyone here, so I wanted to check here first.
