Cool! Maybe try without the lines, and a bitmap texture? I was able to get like 100 polys running OK on an Ipad1 and maybe 200? on an iPad 2.
By running OK I mean like 30fps. All the other UI stuff might have to go to increase speed. It would be better to hide everything including fps, and maybe find a good way to show/hide the fps on demand. I know dynamic text fields really kill performance. Wondering what you get! -Pete On Tue, Jul 12, 2011 at 10:44 AM, Paul T <[email protected]> wrote: > If anyone's interested, I've managed to get a model running on the > iPad using Away3D Lite & Air 2.7. > > I amended the Basic_LoadModel class which comes with the Away3D Lite > examples, embedded the 3ds file & used parser.parseGeometry() to add > the model to the stage. > > The performance isn't great though.
