Cool!

Maybe try without the lines, and a bitmap texture? I was able to get like
100 polys running OK on an Ipad1 and maybe 200? on an iPad 2.

By running OK I mean like 30fps.

All the other UI stuff might have to go to increase speed. It would be
better to hide everything including fps, and maybe find a good way to
show/hide the fps on demand. I know dynamic text fields really kill
performance.

Wondering what you get!
