A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.
User who did this - Lee Bigelow (ligelowbee)
Attached to Project - awesome
Summary - trigger for spawn to run command in xterm
Task Type - Feature Request
Category - awful
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - All
Severity - Low
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - git/master
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - I liked Ion's use of ":" to signify that the command needs to be run
in a terminal.
Basically ":mc" opens a terminal running mc. Excellent.
I've attached a diff showing how I get this to work with the awful/util.lua
spawn() function.
I've hard-coded the use of 'xterm -e', what I'd like is to pull the value of
the 'terminal' variable from the users config file. Is this possible?
Or maybe set and use an environmental variable, like AWESOME_TERM?
One or more files have been attached.
