I filed this bug a while ago(https://awesome.naquadah.org/bugs/index.php?do=details&task_id=766&string=statusbar&project=1&search_name=&type[0]=&sev[0]=&pri[0]=&due[0]=&reported[0]=&cat[0]=&status[0]=open&percent[0]=&opened=&dev=&closed=&duedatefrom=&duedateto=&changedfrom=&changedto=&openedfrom=&openedto=&closedfrom=&closedto=) (version 3.4.4), but have found the root cause. Whenever a program is run in wine, whether the resolution is changed or not, the statusbars on both of my monitors (I'm running dual-monitor, 1920x1200 on left and 2048x1152 on right, so you know they're different) overlap all windows. I thought the bug went away last month because I hadn't had time to play games. The problem goes away after reboot sometimes. Often, the problem is still present even after boot. ====================================

I attached my "rc.lua". Hope to fix this problem soon :). My friend running
awesome has this problem as well and we'd like to get it fixed. The current workaround is to
get a macro in our heads to mod4+b, mod4+f instead of just mod4+f whenever we want to see
things fullscreened and not have that strip across the top. Screenshot of the bad behavior
