THIS IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE, DO NOT REPLY. A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.
User who did this - Renato Botelho (rbgarga) Attached to Project - awesome Summary - awesome instantly closes windows when tiling and shell is /bin/sh Task Type - Bug Report Category - Core Status - Unconfirmed Assigned To - Operating System - FreeBSD Severity - Low Priority - Normal Reported Version - 3.5.1 Due in Version - Undecided Due Date - Undecided Details - A FreeBSD user opened the Problem Report [1] describing the issue on FreeBSD: When awesome is in a tiling layout and the user's shell is /bin/sh, most opened windows are instantly closed; occasionally a window will remain open, after which it will operate and tile normally. Floating windows always open correctly and will remain open if set not to float. If necessary, install awesome, create a user whose shell is /bin/sh, and ensure that this user does not have a ~/.config/awesome/rc.lua file that would override the default configuration. Log in as this user. Left click the box in the upper-right corner of the screen to switch to a tiling layout. Press super+return (that is, windows+return) four or five times; each time an xterm should open. Many will close, but one or two may remain open.
