I've just upgraded to awesome 3.4 and am having trouble
locating my battery widget.
I've created the widget using the following code:
function battwidget()
local bwpb = awful.widget.progressbar({ align = "right",
width = 20,
height = 19 })
bwpb:set_background_color(beautiful.bg_normal)
bwpb:set_border_color("white")
bwpb:set_color("green")
bwpb:set_vertical(true)
battstatus(bwpb)
timer_5s = timer { timeout = 5 }
timer_5s:add_signal("timeout", battstatus)
timer_5s:start()
return bwpb
end
I then locate it in the wibox (statusbar) as follows:
mybattery = battwidget()
mywibox[s].widgets = {
{
mylauncher,
mytaglist[s],
mypromptbox,
layout = awful.widget.layout.horizontal.leftright
}
s == 1 and mysystray or nil,
mylayoutbox[s],
mybattery,
mytextclock,
mytasklist[s],
layout = awful.widget.layout.horizontal.rightleft
}
Now to be clear, the widget basically works.
However, I want the battery widget over to the right of the
clock. But no matter where I place the widget in the above table,
it either isn't visible or is located to the right of the taglist.
I've also tried changing the align property to "left." Any
thoughts as to why I can't locate it over on the right side of
the wibox?
Obviously, this isn't a killer. But it is a little frustrating.
Also, I used to have a mouse button tied to it that would create
a popup with the actual battery info in it. Awesome 3.4 doesn't
seem to support this? or am I missing something?
