Hi

On an uptodate Ubuntu 12.04 LTS system with the default awesome package
(3.4.11), awesome comes up with both the internal screen of my laptop as well
as an external screen in "mirroring" mode. I tried starting
gnome-control-center to disable the "mirror displays" option, but whenever I
press "apply" I get:

Failed to apply configuration: %s

GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such
interface 'org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.XRANDR_2' on object at path
/org/gnome/SettingsDaemon/XRANDR

This works fine with xmonad and the default window manager that shipped with
Ubuntu 12.04.

thanks for any help
~l
