I think it's nothing new, but rather related to me throwing away the numbered tags of default rc.lua. And perhaps a line or two too much... This is with urxvt 9.12. I actually tried now with xterm, and it doesn't happen! The urgent marking of active tag goes away directly (is not even seen) -- as it should when the urgent client is visible and active.
