I can reproduce this bug on the default configuration of awesome on archlinux. I even created another user, started another Xorg session, and awesome hangs. You can easily try this out with xwininfo and and then xev and the window id. Anyways, it seems that seahorse-askpass works fine with awesome. So I don't need to use x11-askpass.
