My ubuntu18.04 is running on Gnome and I think mach5 linux is also
running same, I do not think mach5 linux system is running on Compiz
window manager, where the issue was seen earlier.

Yes, the original fix is still in place but I guess something must
have changed and the issue got visible again. According to JDK-6895647
<https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-6895647> the original issue
was only reproducible with specific window manager. That may explain
why it does not take place on your local system but happens on some
another.
