I was also have the same problem with message appear below:
"Quantity ordered cannot be reduced, as there are not enough inventory
transaction with the 'on order' status".
I dont know how to solve this kind of problem, so I just avoid it will
happen again.
I just think this problem appear because of posting/costing process, in
prodction module or inevntory, stop prematurely.
There are so many possibilities why the posting/costing process just stop.
Mostly it because of hardware problem ex. computer network broken, AOS in
trouble, etc
To avoid this just make sure the computer using AX has the perfect
connection to server.
I dont know whether AX has a poor rollback mechanism in process which failed
to finish.

Sakri

Hi
Please check the data from SQL Analyser. Maybe your data contain decimal point
that make BOM estimate different from BOM consumption.

Ursula Miranda <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Hi All,
I am facing the same problem as well, I'd like to update a production order
to Costing stage. But we found following error message :
"*Calculating BOM Consumption : Quantity ordered cannot be reduced, as there
are not enough inventory transaction with the 'on order' status. The items
are 'Sold', 'Deducted' or 'Picked'.*"
This is due to remainder Qty related to one of the BOM items. In fact, all
the picking list journals have been posted and total Qty posted is already
exactly the same with Qty should be deducted (posted Qty = Qty estimated in
ProdBOM table).
Is there any safe method to *release "On Order" status of a transaction*?
this "On Order" transaction is blocking the job to be updated.
Is there anyone don't mind to share knowledge to help me on this? Really
appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
Best Regards,
Miranda
