Hi, I am an engineering undergraduate from University of Moratuwa and I am interested in working on the XPath project. There are a couple of things not clear for me about this project. I read the previous thread on this topic and found it very useful.
I would like to know how much consideration should be given to the performance of the XPath engine, since performance will be critical if large amounts of data are to be queried. Should it be made extendable (flexible) so that performance issues could be dealt later on, without giving it much consideration at this stage Also it was mentioned in the previous thread that this will not be integrated with Axis2/C? Does this mean that this will not be part of Axis2C and be used only for project Rampart? If it is so, should the API be tailored for the requirements of Rampart (perhaps, slightly deviating from XPath API structure in Axis2/Java)? Thank you very much -- Varuna www.xvpj.net
