http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21592 WSDL2Java doc. should start with description of what tool does ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-07-15 01:11 ------- Daniel, I think you might be overreacting a bit here. Steve didn't say "don't file bugs without a patch." He said that we would welcome one. As you point out, it's difficult for people are steeped in a topic to look at it with fresh eyes. In a closed source environment, there are often tech writers who are asked to "imagine" that they are a new user trying to understand what the tool does. This is hard to pull off, which is probably one of the reasons that there is such a thriving "aftermarket" for software documentation (O'reilly, Wiley & sons, etc). In open source, we can, in theory, tap users who recently shed their innocence about a particular tool and can write the documentation they wish they had had. This *very* rarely happens b/c most users can't be bothered, but I think Steve is being quite sincere when he says that such contributions are welcome. I know would welcome them with no snideness attached. Eric
