Hi,
I'd +1 for creating xml.apache.org/axis/wsif for now, then moving to ws.apache.org/wsif (or similar) in the future. As Ant says, xml.apache.org/axis/wsif is likely to be easier to do for now, and after all any new home we create right now, for our 2.0 release, will move once the larger issues are decided.
So this is a change of vote in some sense but remember that the vote for the temporary home probably won't matter much beyond the 2.0 release.
Nirmal.

wsif.apache.org sounds fine to me, probably everyone who liked
xml.apache.org/wsif would be happy with that also.
I think our main concern should be how long this will all take. We want to
have an Apache WSIF release this year and would like something better than
the current
http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/xml-axis-wsif/java/readme.htm
Presumably with the ok of AXIS people we could create something at
xml.apache.org/axis/wsif very quickly? But wsif.apache.org or
xml.apache.org/wsif would take longer? Sam, can you verify any of this and
give us any idea if its feasible to be doing this in the time frame of this
release?
Thanks,
...ant

Why not http://wsif.apache.org/ ?
Now that I have your attention... ;-)
The direction that the ASF is heading is that each community becomes its
own separate top level ASF project. Ant is such a community that
recently got approved as a top level project.
So the question on the table should be whether WSIF wants to be its own
separate community, or part of a larger community. If it is the latter,
then I seriously doubt that the scope of that community is "XML".
The process is relatively straightforward, and I will facilitate. The
essential ingredients are defining the scope and collecting the names of
active committers who support the idea.
