BSFProvider, anyone?

Hello everyone-

I'm trying to get the BSFProvider to work, and am having a hard time. 
Essentially, Axis doesn't return any response (well, a 202 response 
with an empty body) according to TCPMon. No error messages anywhere - 
the call just seems to vanish somewhere in Axis.

The only example of using the BSFProvider I found anywhere was a (quite 
old) calculator.wsdd file, but unfortunately without a client that 
shows how to construct a call to it. I tried various BSF and JavaScript 
versions (of which I know that they work together in general), but no 
luck.

Any help on what to do or where to look for more information would be 
most welcome. (I'm using Axis 1.2.1, in case that matters.) Many thanks
