Hi,
While preparing the Debian package of AxKit (which has to wait until
some of the packages AxKit is dependent upon have been updated by the
respective maintainers to the needed version), I noticed that some of
the AxKit modules use/require modules and/or external packages which
are not all clearly marked as such:
- AxKit requires
* Time::HiRes (not mentioned in POD, but apperently only when
the _undocumented_ option 'AxDebugTime' is used)
- Apache::AxKit::Language::AxPoint uses
* XML::Handler::AxPoint (not clearly mentioned in POD)
* XML::SAX (implied by XML::Handler::AxPoint)
* XML::SAX::Writer (implied by XML::Handler::AxPoint)
- Apache::AxKit::Language::HtmlDoc uses
* IPC::Run (not mentioned in POD)
* external package HTMLDOC (mentioned in POD)
- Apache::AxKit::Language::PassiveTeX uses (no POD)
* external package PassiveTeX
- Apache::AxKit::Language::Query uses (no POD)
* DBI
* XML::DOM (why?)
- Apache::AxKit::Language::SAXMachines uses
* XML::SAX::Machines (mentioned in POD)
- Apache::AxKit::Language::XMLNewsNITF uses (no POD)
* XMLNews::HTMLTemplate
- Apache::AxKit::Language::XMLNewsRDF uses (no POD)
* XMLNews::HTMLTemplate
Maybe it's a good idea to mention all this somewhere central, like in
the README.
Thanks,
Ardo
