This was a fresh download from axkit.org and I just re-downloaded 1.6.1
again and it still fails, so that error must be in the tar.gz file.

On CPAN there are dozens of entries, I have no idea which ones to use.

axkit.org has a June 2002 copy of 1.6 -- what do I lose by using that?
