Dear Theresa:

Well, you were right; I did it backwards in regards to ordering the baptism
records for Revla to find Antonio de Lima.

Just because the film arrived within a week, I was eager to get my hands on
it and start searching for Antonio. I quickly started realizing that I
needed to have the name of his parents, like you said. I think I learned a
lesson here. Go for the marriage certificate first!

Still, as if I were a gambler, I kept looking through it, hoping to get
lucky and that the priest included the last name, like, Antonio, filho de
blah blah-*de Lima*. Almost every 4 person was named Antonio!! So that
took a long time because I's looking at the name of the parents and
realizing, "you don't know what you're looking for!!" I did find an
Antonio, filho de Manuel de Lima (Revla) X Marianna Roza (Sao Jose) but
thought, why copy it when I don't know if these are his parents!

On Saturday hopefully I'll return and order the marriage certificates for
him and Feliciana. On the positive side, I am getting more familiar with
the names. There were a gazillion guys named Mansel. I've rarely heard
that name. Sounds French to me. Are you familiar with it?

Regards,

Maria Elena

P. S. Maybe there was a reason we named our 2nd son ---you guessed it!
Antonio Manuel. At the time we didn't know how many Antonio's there would
be in the family history.
