TRAVASSOS, Maria Almerinda - With sadness we announce the death of Maria Almerinda Travassos on Monday, December 15, 2008 at the Toronto General Hospital after a long illness. One of three daughters born to Estrella and Jaime Araujo in San Miguel, Azores, Portugal. Loving mother and mother-in-law of James, Helder, Almerinda and Malliha Wilson and loving grandmother of Melanie. Driven by curiosity and a sense of life's possibilities, Maria lead a meaningful and purposeful life, enriched by her commitment to family and devotion to her faith. We wish to thank the staff at Kensington Gardens for their care and dedication to Maria's well being. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church at 11 Portugal Square, Bathurst and Adelaide, on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. No flowers please.
